This series is a 5-year aggregation of the series https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/POPTOTBGA647NWDB used to calculate per capita versions of other 5-year series in FRED. The aggregation of series occurs at the end of the period in years that end in two or seven (i.e. 1972, 1977, 1982...).
