Data Represent Unweighted Medians Of Rates Derived From Reports Of Sample Companies, The Rates Being Computed On The Basis Of The Average Number Of Employees On The Payroll. The Original Data Are Given On An Equivalent Annual Basis. NBER Has Reconverted Them Into Monthly Rates By Dividing By 11.77; 12.17; 13.04; 12.62 Respectively, Depending On Whether The Number Of Days In A Given Month Is 31, 30, 28, Or 29.
