Current General Activity reports the change in general business activity compared to the previous month for reporting manufacturing firms. The General Business Activity is the broadest measure of the Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey. The diffusion index is calculated by taking the percent reporting increases and subtracting the percentage reporting decreases.
