Title: Employed full time: Median usual weekly nominal earnings (second quartile): Wage and salary workers: 55 years and over: Women Series ID: LEU0252890700Q Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Quarterly Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2024-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-04-16 9:02 AM CDT Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252890700 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 493 2000-04-01 491 2000-07-01 502 2000-10-01 501 2001-01-01 524 2001-04-01 505 2001-07-01 517 2001-10-01 537 2002-01-01 567 2002-04-01 541 2002-07-01 546 2002-10-01 567 2003-01-01 567 2003-04-01 591 2003-07-01 583 2003-10-01 593 2004-01-01 593 2004-04-01 611 2004-07-01 596 2004-10-01 607 2005-01-01 609 2005-04-01 605 2005-07-01 621 2005-10-01 645 2006-01-01 628 2006-04-01 619 2006-07-01 641 2006-10-01 671 2007-01-01 654 2007-04-01 648 2007-07-01 653 2007-10-01 672 2008-01-01 674 2008-04-01 700 2008-07-01 692 2008-10-01 683 2009-01-01 707 2009-04-01 703 2009-07-01 693 2009-10-01 726 2010-01-01 701 2010-04-01 712 2010-07-01 725 2010-10-01 723 2011-01-01 741 2011-04-01 744 2011-07-01 737 2011-10-01 730 2012-01-01 761 2012-04-01 748 2012-07-01 755 2012-10-01 746 2013-01-01 754 2013-04-01 769 2013-07-01 765 2013-10-01 776 2014-01-01 767 2014-04-01 768 2014-07-01 778 2014-10-01 784 2015-01-01 768 2015-04-01 782 2015-07-01 781 2015-10-01 768 2016-01-01 821 2016-04-01 785 2016-07-01 793 2016-10-01 810 2017-01-01 828 2017-04-01 859 2017-07-01 859 2017-10-01 818 2018-01-01 819 2018-04-01 868 2018-07-01 826 2018-10-01 873 2019-01-01 859 2019-04-01 871 2019-07-01 854 2019-10-01 892 2020-01-01 895 2020-04-01 977 2020-07-01 942 2020-10-01 965 2021-01-01 954 2021-04-01 941 2021-07-01 953 2021-10-01 971 2022-01-01 967 2022-04-01 958 2022-07-01 987 2022-10-01 995 2023-01-01 1009 2023-04-01 1032 2023-07-01 1069 2023-10-01 1053 2024-01-01 1069
