Title: Employed full time: Median usual weekly real earnings: Wage and salary workers: 16 years and over: White: Women Series ID: LEU0252884300A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: 1982-84 CPI Adjusted Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:06 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252884300 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 291 2001-01-01 294 2002-01-01 304 2003-01-01 308 2004-01-01 309 2005-01-01 305 2006-01-01 302 2007-01-01 302 2008-01-01 304 2009-01-01 312 2010-01-01 313 2011-01-01 313 2012-01-01 309 2013-01-01 310 2014-01-01 310 2015-01-01 314 2016-01-01 319 2017-01-01 324 2018-01-01 325 2019-01-01 328 2020-01-01 350 2021-01-01 341 2022-01-01 333 2023-01-01 335
